SCA Barista Skills Intermediate
The SCA Barista Skills Intermediate Course is designed to further enhance your coffee brewing skills and knowledge, taking you beyond the basics of espresso preparation. This course focuses on developing a deeper understanding of espresso extraction, milk texturing techniques, and latte art. It is the perfect opportunity for baristas who have mastered the fundamentals and wish to refine their craft to a higher level of excellence.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the science behind espresso extraction and make informed adjustments to achieve optimal extraction parameters.
- Demonstrate proficiency in milk texturing techniques to produce velvety microfoam and consistently textured milk.
- Create latte art designs, including hearts, tulips, and rosettas, through proper pouring techniques.
- Evaluate espresso shots and milk-based beverages for quality, taste, and presentation.
- Develop workflow efficiency and multitasking skills for a high-volume coffee shop environment.
Pre-requisites: SCA Barista Foundation

Duration: 8 hours
All participants will receive a SCA Barista Skills Intermediate Course certificate upon successful completion.
