Description
The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) Barista Skills Foundation Course is an introductory-level course designed to provide the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to prepare espresso-based beverages. This full-day course covers everything from espresso extraction to milk steaming and drink building, along with the basic principles of customer service and hygiene.
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the basics of coffee and espresso
- Grind, dose, and tamp coffee
- Extract espresso
- Steam milk and pour basic latte art
- Build and serve basic espresso-based beverages
- Understand customer service principles and hygiene practices
Recommended For: Aspiring baristas, coffee enthusiasts, small business owners, café staff, or anyone looking to improve their coffee-making skills.
Duration: 7 hours
Time: 10am - 5.30pm
