The competition will run for individual participants. There will be 4 rounds in total - Preliminary, Quarter Final, Semi Final, and Final.
In the Preliminary round, there will be 6 cups divided into 3 categories - Origin, Process, and Variety. Participants will have 3 minutes to choose the correct cup out of 2 in each category.
The top 30 competitors with the most correct answers at the fastest times will proceed into the Quarter Final.
This round will consist of 9 cups divided into 3 categories - Origin, Process, and Variety. Participants will have 3 minutes to choose the correct cup out of 3 in the category.
The top 10 competitors with the most correct answers at the fastest times will proceed into the Semi Final.
This round will consist of 9 cups divided into 3 categories - origin, process, and variety. Participants will have 6 minutes to choose 2 correct cups out of 3 in the category.
The top 3 competitors with the most correct answers at the fastest times will proceed into the Final round.
The final round will consist of 9 triangulations. In each set, 2 cups are the same while 1 is different. Participants will have to pick the cup that is different.
The participant with the most correct in the fastest time will be crowned Singapore’s First Iron Tongue Champion.
