PPP Coffee constantly aims to raise the bar of specialty coffee. As such, we are excited to bring you this SSG (previously known as WDA) approved specialty coffee session.
This competency unit is designed to introduce core barista skills to people with no previous barista experience over the course of 2.5 days. The WSQ: Provide Specialty Coffee Service aims to equip the individual to understand what sets specialty coffee apart, as well as the necessary skills to serve specialty coffee. Upon completion, attendees should be able to confidently accomplish the following:
- Describe and recommend coffee products
- Grind and brew coffee
- Prepare and serve espresso
- Prepare and serve cappuccino and latte
All participants will receive a course certificate from Skillsfuture Singapore Agency upon completion of this workshop.

Course Progression and Prerequisites
This unit is within the competency category of Food & Beverage Service and is one of the modules leading to the CET certificates. There are no prerequisite coffee courses required for this course. This course will be conducted in English, and participants are required to have basic English literacy to attend this course.
PPP Coffee (Papa Palheta Pte Ltd) is an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) under the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) system and this course can be funded up to 95% for eligible companies and individuals.
All Singaporeans aged 25 and above can use their $500 SkillsFuture Credit from the government to pay for a wide range of approved skills-related courses.
